The National Science and Technology Week ----Beijing Science and
Technology Week was held on May 14th in Haidian Exhibition Center.
Leaders of central government and Beijing government attended the
opening ceremony which was transmitted through satellite to other
provinces and cities. After the ceremony, leaders and other visitors
will take part in science exhibitions of Science, Sports, Health,
and Harmony and garden-seeing activities based on the theme of human
oriented, life care, disaster reducing, and harmonious development.
During the week show, more than 3000 types of activities with the
theme of human-oriented science and full preparation for a wealthy
society will present a series of varied and colorful courses for
people, so that they can fully feel and experience science and technology
in this week. Three activities are listed as the major events of the week
and they include exhibitions of body exercises,sports activities and
competitive sports.
