1. Brief Introduction to the Contest:
Beijing Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest is a large science and technology activity,
whose elementary purpose is to push forward science and technology activity of youth, to cultivate
the creative spirit and practical ability of youth, to improve scientific and technological qualities of youth,
and to encourage outstanding talents to spring up. Beijing Youth Science and Technology Innovation
Contests present the excellent fruits of scientific and technological activities implemented in primary and
middle schools to date, which stands for the features and meets the demands of the scientific and
technological innovation era.
The competition includes two parts: contest and display.
Around 460,000 Beijing youths took part in the contest this year. The works joining in the preliminary
selection reached to 917 items, within which there are 494 items for competition, 40 items of science
practical activity, 18 excellent science and technology teachers and 365 science imaginary drawings.
"The 25th Beijing Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest" was held at Daxing District,
where the main assembly hall of the contest was placed in the international conference center of Foreign
Language Teaching and Research Press.
2. Contest Event
Youth science and technology innovation contest events consist of inventions and technical creations
produced in scientific and technological practice and in exploring study, new variety of artificially
cultivated animal and plants, scientific research papers, and the fruits of applying information technology.
After preliminary appraisal, 150 items will enter the final evaluation and the display activity of
the contest.
3. Display Event
Display events are composed of the display and exchange of the excellent science and technology
practical activities and the display of science illusion pictures.
