A proposal to hold the 17th International Biophysics Congress from
August 27 to Sept. 1, 2011, in Beijing was endorsed at a recent meeting
of the International Union of Pure and Applied Biophysics (IUPAB) in
Montpellier, France.
The Proposal was made by Prof. Rao Zihe, director of the CAS Institute
of Biophysics, on behalf of the Biophysical Society of China. Prof. Rao was
elected into the IUPAB Council at the meeting.
Being a member of International Council for Science, IUPAB is an
established worldwide professional society based in England for all
biophysics-related disciplines. It hosts the International Biophysics
Congresses every three years.
