International optics congress opens in China 

    The 20th Congress of the International Commission for Optics 
(ICO20) opened on August 22 in Changchun, capital of northeast 
China's Jilin Province. The opening was chaired by CAS Vice 
President Cao Jianlin, and CAS President Lu Yongxiang sent his
