On 21 and 22 February 2004, Xiao Xun, official of Health Care for Women and Childrenof Beijing 
Municipal Bureau of Health, accompanied Lydia, official of UN Population Funds for the fifth term 
project , and officials from Representative Office of UN Population Funds in China, to inspect the 
processing of the project in Xuan Wu District. The UN official listened to the report on the project given 
by the leaders of the district bureau of health and the district health care hospital for women and children. 
    The leaders of the district population planning committee and the education committee answered the 
questions raised by the UN officials. The district women' s federation and district committee of the 
Communist Youth Union, which are responsible for the  implementation the project, attended the report 
conference.
     A discussion was also held between the UN officials and Li Jing, dean of district guiding center for 
planned pregnancy and district committee for population and planned pregnancy. Besides, the UN officials 
talked withthe doctors of the guiding center and got to know the service for the movable population.
     Later, the UN officials visited district women and children health care center, Yaojiajing community 
health station and community service center of Chunshu Hospital, talked with medical staff and patients 
there.
     The UN officials felt very satisfied with the implementation of the project in Xuan Wu District.
