With the support of the CASTWAS Fellowships, Ms. Munkhgerel
Lodonjav, a PhD candidate from the Mongolian Academy of Sciences,
has been conducting her oneyear study at the CAS Chengdu Institute
of Botany since June, 2005.
According to an agreement between CAS and the Academy of Sciences
for the Developing World [formerly Third World Academy of Sciences]
(TWAS), 50 such fellowships will be offered each year to scholars
from developing countries (other than China) who wish to pursue
advanced research in natural sciences in China.
After a careful scrutiny, about 40 CAS institutes have been
selected to host the fellowship winners, and the Chengdu Institute
of Botany is one of them.
