A workshop on acrosstheboard S&T cooperation between CAS and the government 
of east China's Anhui Province was held on March 6 in Beijing. CAS President LU 
Yongxiang and Secretary of CPC Committee of Anhui Province GUO Jinlong made 
important speeches at the conference, and Governor of the Province WANG Jinshan 
and CAS Executive Vice President BAI Chunli signed an agreement on S&T 
collaboration between the two sides.
